Course Details

This CPD course will equip educators to develop awareness around Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder in their schools and organisations as well as recognise and adapt their teaching to learners with ADHD. It is a valuable resource for a wide range of people, from teachers and teaching assistants at all levels to pastoral support and youth workers, childcare professionals, SENCOs, and more.

ADHD is the result of a unique brain structure, a form of neurodiversity with a fairly varied set of signs and symptoms. There are many assumptions and stereotypes in play around how the condition presents and what it means for learning, and not all are correct—so further learning on this common condition is hugely important. Gain the tools and knowledge you need to support the wellbeing and development of ALL learners properly.

The training covers a range of information, beginning with how to identify the characteristics of ADHD as they present in different learners and the criteria for diagnosis. It includes information on the risk factors and symptoms associated with the condition, plus strategies for supporting students to learn in a way that works best for their unique brains. Participants will come away with a greater awareness and understanding of ADHD, how it affects different people in different ways, and how they can facilitate quality learning for all.

Gather the knowledge you need to promote ADHD awareness in your school and amongst your peers with this comprehensive CPD course.
