Course Details

As many as 1 in 4 completely healthy children are known to have fainted at some point in their lives, so it is a common occurrence and often happens in schools. This CPD course raises awareness of fainting in children so that educators can plan and better organise a safer, supportive environment for all children and young people affected by it.

The course is designed to ensure education professionals gain the necessary knowledge and skills to protect children in their care.  It specifically deals with what causes fainting in the young, and what can induce it in terms of the physical, medical, psychological, and general environment in which a child learns.

A part of the CPD course also provides information on the signs and symptoms to look out for preceding or accompanying a child’s fainting episode. Educators will also learn specific strategies that they can employ to prevent the likelihood of a child fainting thus ensuring a quick, effective response.

Whether you aim to equip yourself with a general understanding of fainting in children or have a direct connection with students who are known to suffer from fainting episodes, this course will allow you to add to your CPD points while furthering your ability so support students.
