Course Details

This online safety CPD course is important for senior leaders, headteachers, teachers, teaching assistants, and support workers at all levels. In a digital world, with devices commonly used in classrooms and online learning increasing, it’s crucial to be aware of cyber attacks, understand the risks, and have the tools to keep all involved safe and secure.

The training will include a comprehensive look at different types of cyber-attacks that commonly target schools. It will also discuss their potential consequences, offering participants an idea of the scope and severity of the problem. It will contribute to raising awareness of the risks of cyber attacks not only among those attending the course but also their networks and colleagues, as they can take information back to their schools and settings.

In addition, the course covers best practice for education professionals, how they can contribute to good cyber safety for their school and the steps that can be taken in the event of a cyber attack to mitigate any consequences. Failing to plan is planning to fail, and a solid incident response plan is necessary for proper cyber security—participants will also be provided with the tools and resources needed to help create one in their schools.

Equip yourself to understand the threat of cyber attacks and the risks they pose, and learn to prevent and mitigate them—the Prevention and Awareness of Cyber Attacks in Schools CPD course is a must for all educators concerned with online safety.
