Course Details

Supporting Children with Arthritis in Education Settings is an informative, professional development resource for professionals looking to raise awareness of how arthritis can affect children and young people. This CPD course develops awareness and understanding among educators, school staff, peers, and classmates thus promoting inclusion and providing a supportive environment where arthritis students feel valued.

Participants will be informed about the causes, symptoms, and complications of juvenile arthritis, gaining the knowledge necessary to support students in their care.

Educators will learn of the impact that arthritis can have on children and young people, and how symptoms can be treated, so sufferers can go on and achieve a better quality of life.

Teachers will gain an understanding of what it’s like to live with arthritis so that they can understand the difficulties, challenges, and problems that children and young people face as they go about their daily lives.

This CPD for teachers and teaching assistants also explains how juvenile arthritis can impact a child’s academic and social access.

In addition, education professionals will learn how to support children using effective strategies and devices in the classroom and around the school environment.

Whether you aim to equip yourself with an understanding of juvenile arthritis as part of your continuing professional development or already have a direct connection with children suffering from it, this CPD course will provide you with all the tools and knowledge that you need to make a difference.
