Course Details
This online CPD training is designed for those that work with and/or support students with a specific SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) issue.
The course, split into several areas, explores child development, the factors that affect this, developmental indicators of specific needs, along with a detailed summary of the latest, relevant legislation.
A key aspect of the course is the importance of cooperating and communicating with other support agencies and how to make a specific referral of concern, leading to a detailed assessment of needs and the preparation of an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP).
This is a useful CPD course for bringing teachers up to date with the latest SEND requirements, as well as giving those with less experience, a detailed overview of what is involved and how to provide the right level of support for the individuals that they support.
